On October 18, Morris Habitat is officially launching a brick fundraiser campaign in conjunction with its Bennett Avenue project in Randolph.  The $125, 4×8 bricks will comprise the pathways between the residential buildings into the community center to be built on the site.

Randolph residents and long-time Morris Habitat supporters, Ken and Christi Sauter are co-chairs for the brick campaign.

Phase l of the affordable housing project will consist of 13, 1-,2- and 3- bedroom units for low and moderate-income families.  Upon completion, a total of 25 affordable units will be built across several buildings. A playground and gazebo will also be constructed.

First floor units will be ADA accessible. The entire project is ENERGYSTAR certified for energy efficiency, EPA WaterSense certified for water efficiency and EPA Indoor AirPLUS certified for health protections.

The project is supported by home sponsors: Bayer, GAF, and New Jersey Natural Gas.

In June 2021, the Mountain Lakes High School Class of 2021 raised over $10,000 toward building one home through the sale of bricks.
