About Building on Faith

Habitat for Humanity’s annual celebration of our faith partnerships, an essential part of our Christian Ministry. During this celebration, local Habitat groups around the world are encouraged to host building projects and celebrations with their congregational partners.

The event

The traditional time to celebrate Building on Faith is the third week in September. However, local Habitat groups may choose the time of year and the type of celebration that is best for faith partners in their communities.
The Building on Faith event concludes with the International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat.
