Our veterans who sacrificed so much for our country are coming home and need stable, affordable places to live. We support and honor current and former military service members through Morris Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build initiative. Right now, we have one home for a veteran family under construction on Main Street in Roxbury. And we need your help to donate funds toward our largest project to date.
From November 11 to 15, 2019, we will be completing the first 6 of 12 units at 119 Main Street in Succasunna. Twelve families will have new homes, including a US Marine Corps veteran and his family. Help us put on the finishing touches—painting, tiling, landscaping etc.!
Nicole and Daniel Pope have three daughters under the age of three. Daniel, a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps, was in the first ground unit to enter Iraq in the Iraq War in 2003. He was just 17 years old when he enlisted with permission of a parental waiver. Daniel’s first day of boot camp was 9/11, and he graduated on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. The Popes will be moving into 119 Main Street in Succasunna in December 2019.
