Once again this year, the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey honored Morris Habitat with an Award of Excellence. For a third time, under their Builders category, Morris Habitat was selected for having the “Best Affordable Mt. Laurel Home.” On June 11, 2015, the award was given for the 13 – 17 Strickland Place project in Madison, New Jersey.
The development of the Strickland Place site in Madison eliminated an unsightly and deteriorating vacant lot, the former location of an asphalt paving business. The Madison Housing Authority purchased the property from the municipality at a public land auction in 2011. Foundation work began in November 2012. After two years of building done by Morris Habitat construction supervisors and hundreds of volunteers, three families were able to move in just in time for Thanksgiving 2014.

Paragano Homes, LLC) at the awards ceremony.
