Thank you to all—supporters, attendees, volunteers—who helped make Morris Habitat for Humanity’s 15th Annual Hearts & Hammers Gala at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph our biggest yet! Everyone enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing, a silent auction and a tricky tray.
Five hundred people attended our signature fundraiser on Feb. 22, 2020, which highlighted our 25-home Bennett Avenue project in Randolph. This is the largest project in our 35-year history. Your partnership will help these Morris Habitat families realize the dream of owning an affordable home and the promise of healthier, brighter futures.
Homeowner-in-progress Jenniffer Espinal, a Passaic municipal employee who is studying to become a fire inspector, was the evening’s featured speaker. Jennifer and her two sons expect to move into their Morris Habitat duplex later this year. Jenniffer told the audience how homeownership will bring her family stability, security and peace.
“When we move into our home in Passaic, it will be one of the best days of our lives. We will have a place to call home where we feel safe and secure,” Jenniffer told the audience to a standing ovation. “Thank you all. You have planted a seed that will grow and prosper.”
