Project:

This vacant lot in Middlesex County was generously donated by the Borough of Highland Park to Habitat of Greater Plainfield & Middlesex County (now under the leadership of Morris Habitat for Humanity).

Sponsor Johnson & Johnson sent a team of volunteers from their Engineering and Technical Operations group in New Brunswick to help construct the home.

Funds for building this home were partially provided by New Jersey’s Neighborhood Enhancement Program, created to address the shortage of affordable housing caused by Hurricane Sandy. The money came from Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program funds administered by HUD.

Construction of this home began in summer 2015 and was completed in August 2016.
