Architect
Reports to: Program & Property Acquisition Director
Hours: Vary based on project
Requirements:
New Jersey licensed architect to design single and multi-unit residential dwellings. Plans must incorporate elements of "green" building and must comply with barrier-free requirements for handicap accessibility and adaptability and with Habitat building criteria.
Expectations:
- Design plans that meet the needs of a specific project and property in a cost- effective manner and that are volunteer-friendly on the construction site.
- Work in conjunction with the site engineer to ensure that the house plans and the site/grading plans are consistent.
- Have experience in testifying before local land development boards.
- Attend meetings, as necessary, to review plans with the project team and to prepare for Zoning or Planning Board testimony.
