The Friday Faithful
“A group of retired persons who give
construction manager Mark Bippes an expert
and dependable crew each and every Friday.”

That’s the official definition of this reliable, steadfast and committed group of about fifty volunteers who faithfully assist with all aspects of our construction projects. However, definitions do not really tell the whole story. This group of retired men and women (mostly men, though we would welcome retired women to come out to join our group!) are the backbone of our construction volunteers. Their expertise in all phases of construction as volunteer supervisors, crew leaders, and general labor, is used to assist our non-skilled volunteers as well as to maintain our quality home building standards. Moreover, they really love what they do! Most of the Friday Faithful have been long-time volunteers with Morris Habitat, each averaging about 500 to 600 hours a year.
