Seven volunteers aged 19 – 22 from all across the U.S. will be working full-time at two of our construction sites (29 Hillside Terrace and 29 Hazel Street) from Wednesday, September 2, to Friday, October 16, 2015. AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is a team-based service program that helps to strengthen communities and build leaders by working with non-profits and other agencies. These volunteers will contribute approximately 3,200 hours of their labor! We thank the Tranquility Seventh-day Adventist Church in Andover for housing the team at their Tranquil Valley Retreat Center.

You can help these young volunteers by making lunch, dinner, dessert or snacks for them. They receive a very small daily stipend for food. As we all know, food in New Jersey is expensive, and eating out is also very costly. Please reach out to Stephanie.Sayki@morrishabitat.org or call 973.891.1934 if your organization, school or church group would like to take on the preparation of one or more meals as a service project.
