From Monday, May 8, through Saturday, May 13, women in Morris County will be volunteering on two homes on Harding Avenue in Dover. National Women Build Week brings women together from all walks of life to learn construction skills and to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week also spotlights the homeownership challenges faced by women. This event is one of more than 300 Women Build projects taking place nationwide with support from Lowe’s, Habitat’s longtime partner.
All of these volunteer spots have been filled already, but we need your help on other dates in April and May.
If you are a new volunteer, please register on our volunteer scheduling site. You can sign up to build on a specific day at one of our work sites in Dover, Budd Lake or West Milford. Just check the online Volunteer Calendar to confirm that the site is open. Also, you can click on May 18 in the column headed “Orientations/New Volunteers” to sign up for either an afternoon or evening volunteer orientation to discover the full range of volunteer opportunities that we offer.
