Furniture Alliance
Friday and Saturday, June 8-9, 2007
Ready to redecorate? Then donate your “gently used” furniture and accessories to A & R Interiors’ Furniture Drive, a benefit for Morris Habitat for Humanity and other New Jersey affiliates. Donations will help local families in need.
There’s no better time or place to donate your gently used furnishings than A & R’s fifth annual Furniture Drive. In exchange for a furniture or accessories donation, participants will receive a voucher redeemable toward merchandise in A & R’s fine furnishings showroom, the largest interior design showroom in Morris County, New Jersey.
A & R will be accepting “gently used” hard-surface furnishings, rugs and accessories (upholstery and bedding excluded). Children’s furniture and family dining sets are especially needed. Furniture donations must be delivered to A & R located at 26 Broadway in downtown Denville. Contributions will be accepted on Friday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During these two days, A & R’s showroom merchandise will be offered at discounts of 20% to 60% off. In exchange for a furniture or accessories donation, participants will receive the following discounts: $20 off $100 purchase; $35 off $300 purchase; $75 off $500 purchase; $150 off $1,000 or more.
“This is A & R’s fifth furniture drive and we’re so pleased that there are Habitat for Humanity homes being built right here in Denville,” commented Allyson Rich Morren, co-owner of A & R Interiors and a Denville resident. “Our clients and the public have been so generous in the past and we hope everyone will consider making a donation.”
The Furniture Drive is part of A & R’s Furniture Alliance, a long-term project in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, to help provide quality used furnishings for local families in need. A & R will reach out to its clients, other interior designers and the public to solicit interest in donating quality used furniture when redecorating.
During the Furniture Drive Event, representatives from Morris Habitat for Humanity will be present to answer questions about the nonprofit organization and provide tax-deductible forms for those making furniture and accessories donations. Visitors can register to win a free in-home design consultation by A & R and other great prizes. Refreshments will be served.
“Our partnership with A & R has always been important, but this year as we begin work on two homes in Denville, it is even more meaningful,” said Blair Schleicher-Wilson, Executive Director of Morris Habitat for Humanity. In fact, this partnership will grow as A & R Interiors will be donating their interior design services once the two Morris Habitat for Humanity homes are completed.
