Youth United Updates
Youth United came into 2007 with a bang! In February, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Hazel Street Student Build in Morristown. Students from a dozen schools have raised $40,000 out of the $60,000 needed, through candy sales, car washes, basketball games, and grants. Youth from St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake raised $4,000 from their congregation. During Act!Speak!Build! Week in April, Youth United members and local high schools held activities to raise awareness of affordable housing needs. Call the office to purchase a Youth United T-shirt for $10.
