Morris Habitat is on the Move!
After six years at 51 South Street and almost twenty-two years in Morristown, Morris Habitat is moving its entire operation to the ReStore in Mine Hill. This is a major move that will allow us to expand and grow through our third decade of building safe, decent and affordable housing in partnership with low-income families in Morris County and beyond.
In late 2006 we recognized that we had reached the limits of what our office could physically support without detriment to our program. While also investigating alternative locations in Morristown, we found that the ReStore property will meet our office needs, allow our construction team to warehouse all construction materials in one place instead of fifteen scattered sites, and also house our building supply outlet. Having all our operations under one roof will help Morris Habitat focus on meeting our goal of building 5 homes each year as we partner with the community, corporations, congregations and municipalities to eliminate substandard housing.
As of Thursday, July 5, our offices will be at 102 Iron Mountain Road, Mine Hill. When you’re shopping at the ReStore, remember to stop in next door to say “Hello!”
